Oh. I think that's just as useful as the rest of those things. Honestly, we aren't making any progress in going home as far as I'm aware, so a day to day thing like cooking is probably more helpful.

Surely this isn't some kind of time-contracted rental, is it? You could simply purchase your own place to live, and deal with what the Embassy owes you as compensation later.

You deserve compensation, whether or not they're willing to give it to you without a lot of arguing. But I see your point, I suppose... Perhaps you could simply pay the farmer for ownership of the barn? Cut out the Embassy entirely.
